this was another trick to allow you to get to the garden earlier in play before building the intended amount of strength. After ascending the big vertical shot that starts the trip to the garden, there is a little ledge you can crouch on to refill your strength. Mainly useful for getting to the secret garden when you "shouldn't" yet have the strength to do so. Jumping diagonally saps very little energy. Though you will likely encounter a hole eventually and end up in glitch oblivion. Some of these areas are really big and quite stable. It was found that certain inaccessible areas of the map were reachable by propelling yourself to them by firing exploding arrows near your feet. There isn't really anything there so it is believed to just be a glitch. Off the southeastern edge of the forbidden lands there is an invisible plane that is walkable on the surface of the water. The rides don't take you anywhere special, but offer some great views of the landscape. It was later found that there is not one but at least 3 of these birds. It differs from the other eagles not only in it's size, but in the fact that it will fly a continuous course unfettered by your weight should you catch hold of it. Somebody found a giant eagle at one point and dubbed him Loki. There are many physics jumps on many colossi which lead to some fun youtube vids as well as cool strategies to beat colossi in record time. the most famous of these is on colossus 3, where timing your jump as he lifts his sword would launch you all the way to his head. I assume this would be the case for many of these jumps. *i tried this once in the woods with the PS3 HD and found the invisible walls had been fixed to prevent landing in the off limits areas. (until you fell through the surface into glitch oblivion and died) People also got on top of various structures and bits of land this way. The forest was a great one, where you could launch yourself up onto the inaccessible surrounding walls and then walk around. Impressive jumps were achieved off the stairs inside the temple and many other places. Agro Jumping: Using the game's physics one could run Agro up an inclined piece of land and then 'launch' by jumping off of him to achieve great heights. It was felt that any "true" secret left by TeamICO would have to be found in this way. Many hours of enjoyment are there for the taking should you wish to read the whole thread, but I'll give you some highlights here.įINDINGS IN THE RETAIL GAME: these were discoveries that anybody with the game and a ps2 could achieve. There were, however, many amazing finds over the course of the journey. Reaching the garden was achieved before the game even went on retail sale, so while fun to find, it certainly wasn't the 'secret' gamers would want. It was the general consensus that the garden was really the ultimate secret TeamICO had hidden in the game. In the interest of not stringing anyone along I will say simply that such a thing was never believed to be found. The thread started with the belief that there remained a "last secret" or easter egg, as yet undiscovered in the game. (the thread has more findings and ideas than i could possibly recall or list) I actively followed it, and contributed some years ago so I'll give you the history and gist as best as I can recall. It contains posts dating back until 2007, people still post on it to this day, and it presently weighs in at a whopping 559 pages. For those who may not have heard of it before, I thought I'd introduce you to a long lived, and fascinating playstation SotC forum thread called "The Quest for the Last Big Secret"
